Cold drinks, mixers, water, ice and cigarettes, all on the same run. It is not a footnote to the main list — for a lot of orders it is the more important half, and it is reliably the half people forget until it is too late to fix.
Mixers
Colas, sodas, tonic, lemon drinks and juices. The rule of thumb from how much to order is six to eight litres for ten people, and the usual mistake is ordering one bottle per spirit bottle, which runs out inside an hour.
Water
The single most useful thing in any order and consistently the cheapest. A litre per person, ordered at the start rather than begrudgingly at the end, changes how everybody feels the next day more than anything else you could buy.
Ice
Order twice what seems reasonable. Ice is the first thing to run out at every gathering in this city and it is the one item you cannot substitute, improvise or wait out.
Soft drinks for people who are not drinking
There is always at least one person not drinking — driving, fasting, on medication, pregnant, or simply not in the mood. Having something proper and cold for them costs almost nothing and is the difference between them being looked after and being an afterthought.
This also matters if a night is going long: switching someone to soft drinks is much easier when there is something worth switching to.
Cigarettes
Full range, same run, same delivery fee.
Why one order beats three
Every item above travels on the same bike as everything else. Adding water and ice to an order already going out costs one delivery fee. Realising at 11:40 that you have none costs a second delivery fee and a longer wait, during the busiest hour of the night.
The full catalogue with prices is on the menu. If you are not sure what you need, message and say what the night looks like — that is a more useful question than a product list, and it is the one we are better at answering.
