Raksi Hour delivers liquor, cold drinks, and cigarettes across Kathmandu Valley from 10:40 PM to 4:00 AM.

Kathmandu closes early. The kitchens shut, the shutters come down, and somewhere around eleven the city decides the night is over — which is exactly when most nights actually start. Raksi Hour exists for the hours after that: the flat full of people who ran out, the shift that finished at one, the guest who landed at midnight and would very much like a drink.

What time does Raksi Hour open?

We take orders every night from 10:40 PM until 4:00 AM, seven days a week, including public holidays. Orders placed before 4:00 AM are delivered the same night. Outside those hours the WhatsApp line is unattended — message anyway and we'll pick it up when we open.

What areas does Raksi Hour deliver to?

We deliver inside Kathmandu Valley only. That covers Thamel, Lazimpat, Baluwatar, Baneshwor, Jhamsikhel, Pulchowk, Kupondole, Chabahil, Maharajgunj, Sanepa and the neighbourhoods around them. Most runs inside the ring road take 30–45 minutes; the far edges of the valley can take longer on a busy night. If you're outside the valley, we can't reach you — we'd rather say so than take an order we can't finish.

How the service works

There is no app, no account and no card form. You send one WhatsApp message with what you want and where you are. We reply with the total and an arrival time, a rider brings it, and you pay at the door — cash on delivery, esewa, khalti, bank transfer. That's the whole service. It is deliberately boring, because at 2 AM boring is what you want.

Where we draw the line

We're 18+ only, and our riders will ask for photo ID if there is any doubt. We won't deliver to someone who has clearly had enough, and we won't deliver to a minor — not for a bigger order, not for a regular, not for anyone. If that costs us a sale, it costs us a sale. We'd rather still be doing this next year.
